The 5G Rahmah package and Rahmah Civil Servants Postpaid Incentive will be introduced by Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil on August 29. This step is part of the government's effort to bridge the digital gap and ensure everyone can access good internet without spending too much.
Fahmi Fadzil will give more information about these plans, which were announced on August 7. The aim is to provide equal internet access to everyone at a reasonable cost. The 5G Rahmah package, available from August 31, offers a 5G device with internet for RM60 per month. People can choose a Samsung A14 5G or Honor 90 Lite 5G phone starting at RM240. The first 100,000 people from the B40 group will get this package and phone for an even lower price, starting at RM120.
