Hire NowThe edutech arm of airasia Digital, airasia academy, has announced a partnership with Google Malaysia as part of its BINA Digital programme initiative, which provides free digital courses to Malaysia's small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
The goal of the cooperation is to empower the SME community by reskilling and upskilling them so they can digitally transform their businesses, stay relevant, learn new technological skills, and grow their businesses.
Google Primer is a smartphone app that offers short, easy-to-understand courses to help business owners and people improve their abilities and reach their objectives.
Free courses for SMEs
Through redbeatacademy.com's On-Demand Learning platform, the free courses are now available to SMEs and anyone else who wants to learn. There are English and Bahasa Malaysia classes available on how to start a business, manage personnel, and sell products.
During these challenging times, all of the information aims to assist SMEs in adopting digitisation and improving their operations.
Participants can enjoy on-demand learning at RM10 per month.
The partnership allows the first 50 airasia academy students to enrol in courses on the On-Demand Learning platform for as little as RM10 per month if they complete the Primer series by October 31, 2021.
Once they have completed the Primer Series in its entirety, they will be eligible to win a complimentary seat on one of the airasia academy's Instructor-Led Training courses, as well as a lunch date with Aireen Omar, President of airasia digital.
Aireen said that the free courses would include nine mini-courses for beginners, intermediates, and advanced students on topics like growing your business, generating revenue and taking your business online and how to get started with digital advertising.
The importance of digitalising your businesses
Marc Woo, Managing Director of Google Malaysia, said Malaysians are spending more time online, and digital technology will be essential in aiding SMEs in adapting as the country continues on its road to economic recovery.
As these businesses go online, they will be able to reach out to their customers more swiftly, boosting the expansion of Malaysia's digital economy.
Woo said that it is more important than ever for Google to help businesses of all sizes build digital skills. The organisation is committed to ensuring that every business gets the help and skills it needs to recover and rebuild long-term by partnering with long-standing organisations like airasia academy.
The Airasia Academy BINA Digital is a specialised development programme that the corporation introduced last year as part of its services.
The programme offers online courses to assist SMEs in getting started, developing and growing their internet presence, and strengthening their long-term company expansion and growth capabilities. About 3,000 SMEs have benefited so far from the scheme.
