GE15: Anwar Ibrahim is Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister

Reformist opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been appointed Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister.

According to Istana Negara’s statement today, the appointment was made with the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah after meeting with the Conference of Rulers.

The swearing-in ceremony is set to take place this evening.
