Hire NowIf you are a B40 entrepreneur or a full-time student of higher learning institutions (IPT), you can register your business with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) for free. The SSM is currently offering free business registration via the Prihatin Business Registration Scheme (SPPP).
SSM launched the scheme on February 15 to encourage B40 entrepreneurs and full-time IPT students to be involved in business and register their business under the Registration of Businesses Act 1956.
The SPPP will continue until the grant allocation is used up. To date, over 9,000 B40 entrepreneurs and IPT students have registered their businesses with SSM.
Fee Exemption
The implementation of SPP includes the fee exemption for business registration such as:

Sole proprietorship business using the owner's name as on the identity card: RM30 per annum.

Sole proprietorship business or partnership business (partner(s) must be under the eligible categories to apply for this scheme) using trade name: RM60 per annum.

Business information print: RM10.

Requirements
The application conditions for applicants who wish to apply for the SSM SPPP are as follows according to category:
i. B40 Group Entrepreneurs
- MyKad/MyPR holder.
- Citizens aged 18 years and above according to the conditions of business registration.
- Their information is in the database of recipients of Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) for the B40 Group. (Applicants can check their status at https://bpn.hasil.gov.my/).
- No record of active business entity on SSM.
ii. Full-Time IPT Students
- MyKad/MyPR holder.
- Citizens aged 18 years and above according to the conditions of business registration.
- Full-time study/course at any IPTA/IPTS/Polytechnic/College/Skills Institute/Skill Center in the country.
- No record of active business entity on SSM.
How to Apply
To apply for SPPP, please follow the steps below:

Visit the website https://ezbiz.ssm.com.my/.

Click the 'Sign Up' button and enter the required information.

Click the 'Save' button.

Log in by entering your registered username and password.

Select the MY BUSINESS SERVICE menu.

Select the NEW BUSINESS tab under the NEW BUSINESS REGISTRATION submenu.

Fill in the business information through the New Business Registration Form (Form A) by filling in the following information:

Business name
-
Date of commencement of business
-
Primary address of the business
-
Business branch address (if any)
-
Owner and partner information
-
Type of business to be conducted
-
Submit a copy of the partnership agreement (if any)

If successful, you will receive a confirmation notification from SSM.
You can obtain the Business Registration Certificate within one hour from the time payment is made.

Required documents
The documents required to be uploaded when making the application are as follows:
i. B40 Group Entrepreneurs

Copy of identity card (Front & Back).

Proof of business operation:

Application for loan assistance/business grant; or
-
Documents related to the sale and purchase of products or services; or
-
Photograph of the applicant with the premises/place/business stall; or
-
Other relevant documents.

ii. Full-Time IPT Students
-
Copy of identity card (Front & Back);

Copy of student card; and
-
Copy of student certificate from IPTA/IPTS/Polytechnic/College/Skills Institute/Skill Center.
