Hire NowStarting 1 June 2026, Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) is continuing its Skim Pendaftaran Perniagaan Prihatin (SPPP) initiative to help B40 entrepreneurs and full-time IPT students register their business for free.
Through this initiative, eligible applicants can enjoy free business registration for up to two years.
This is a good opportunity for individuals who want to start a small business, online business, freelance service, or side income project without worrying about registration costs.

What Is Skim Pendaftaran Perniagaan Prihatin (SPPP)?
Skim Pendaftaran Perniagaan Prihatin (SPPP) is an initiative by SSM to help:

B40 entrepreneurs
-
Full-time IPT students
Register their business under the Registration of Businesses Act 1956 without paying registration fees.
The scheme was previously known as:
-
Skim 1 Pelajar 1 Perniagaan (S1P1P)
but has now been expanded to support more groups, including B40 entrepreneurs.
SSM Free Registration Now Extended to 2 Years
One of the biggest updates for SPPP 2026 is the extension of the free registration period.
Previously, applicants only received free registration for one year.
Starting 1 June 2026, eligible applicants can now enjoy:

Free business registration for two years
This gives new entrepreneurs more time to stabilise and grow their business before worrying about renewal costs.
Who Is Eligible for SSM Free Registration?
B40 Entrepreneur Category
Applicants must:

Be a MyKad or MyPR holder
-
Be 18 years old and above
-
Have records in the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN), BPR, BKM, or mySalam database
-
Not have any active business entity registered under SSM
Full-Time IPT Student Category
Applicants must:

Be a MyKad or MyPR holder
-
Be 18 years old and above
-
Study full-time in IPTA, IPTS, Polytechnic, College, Institut Kemahiran, or Pusat Kemahiran in Malaysia
-
Not have any active business entity registered under SSM

What Fees Are Waived Under SPPP?
Eligible applicants can enjoy fee exemptions such as:

Important Things to Know Before Applying
Only One Application Allowed
Each individual can only enjoy the SPPP scheme once.
Partnership Business Rules
For partnership businesses, all partners must come from eligible categories under SPPP.
Existing Active Business Owners Are Not Eligible
Applicants with active business entities under SSM are not eligible to apply.
