Hire NowMYFutureJobs is Malaysia’s official national job matching platform, created to connect employers with qualified local candidates. Managed by PERKESO (SOCSO), the system supports recruitment, compliance with expatriate hiring rules, and access to hiring incentives.
This guide explains what MYFutureJobs is, how employers can register, and why it is a valuable tool for businesses operating in Malaysia.
What is MYFutureJobs?
MYFutureJobs is Malaysia’s official national employment platform managed by the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), also known as PERKESO. Launched in 2020, the platform is designed to connect job seekers with employers through a transparent and efficient digital job-matching system.
At its core, MYFutureJobs is powered by advanced AI matching technology. Employers can post vacancies, and the platform automatically recommends the most suitable candidates based on job requirements, skills, and experience. It provides access to thousands of vacancies, career counselling, and training opportunities.
MYFutureJobs is a mandatory requirement when applying to hire expatriates, ensuring that priority is given to local candidates first. This reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the Malaysian workforce while still allowing businesses to source foreign expertise when necessary.
Why Employers Need to Use MYFutureJobs
There are three main reasons employers should adopt MYFutureJobs as part of their recruitment strategy:
Mandatory for Expatriate Hiring
Under current regulations, employers must advertise vacancies on MYFutureJobs for a minimum period before applying to hire foreign workers. This requirement ensures fair opportunities for Malaysians while balancing the needs of businesses for niche or highly skilled talent.
Government Support and Incentives
Employers who use MYFutureJobs gain access to government-backed initiatives like the Hiring Incentive and Training Programme. These incentives reduce hiring costs, especially when taking on unemployed Malaysians, graduates, or vulnerable groups.
Access to a Local Talent Pool
With hundreds of thousands of job seekers registered, MYFutureJobs is one of the largest talent databases in Malaysia. Employers can use the platform to connect with candidates across industries, education levels, and skill sets, from entry-level graduates to experienced professionals.

Posting Jobs on MYFutureJobs
After registration, employers can begin posting vacancies:
Creating Job Postings
Click +New Vacancy in the Employer Portal and fill in job title, occupation (based on ESCO classification), number of positions, position level, skills required, education level, and sector.
Writing an Effective Job Description
Employers are encouraged to provide clear role responsibilities, required skills, and qualifications. Well-written descriptions improve matching accuracy.
Screening Candidates
The system automatically suggests matching candidates. Employers can invite shortlisted candidates for interviews, request additional information, or reject unsuitable applicants directly through the portal.
Tip:
Always use accurate job titles and specify required skills to improve candidate matching. Adding details like languages, licenses, or special requirements (e.g., disability-friendly roles) ensures more precise recommendations.
Employer Obligations on MYFutureJobs
Employers using the platform must comply with several requirements:
Advertising Vacancies before Hiring Expatriates
All expatriate positions must be posted on MYFutureJobs first to test the availability of local candidates.
Minimum Posting Period
Expatriate roles must remain advertised for a set period (generally 30 days) before employers can proceed with foreign worker applications.
Reporting Hires
Once a candidate is hired, employers are required to confirm employment in the system by uploading an employment letter. This ensures SOCSO records are updated accurately.
These obligations are closely tied to national workforce policies, ensuring fair access for Malaysians while maintaining flexibility for employers needing foreign talent.
Benefits of Using MYFutureJobs for Employers
Employers gain multiple advantages by leveraging MYFutureJobs:
Free Recruitment Tools
Posting vacancies and accessing candidate databases are free of charge for employers.
AI-powered Matching
Advanced algorithms help identify candidates most aligned with the vacancy requirements, reducing time spent manually screening resumes.
Direct Candidate Management
Employers can invite applicants, schedule interviews, send offers, and confirm hires directly in the portal.
Training and Upskilling Support
Through SOCSO programmes, employers can connect employees with training courses to enhance skills and productivity.
Government Incentives
Employers hiring through the platform can access schemes like the Hiring Incentive and Training Programme, which reduce salary costs and support workforce development.
Hiring Incentive and Training Programme
The Hiring Incentive and Training Programme, announced under PENJANA, is closely tied to MYFutureJobs. It provides financial assistance to employers who hire job seekers registered on the platform.
Key categories include:
-
Incentives for hiring unemployed individuals under 40.
-
Incentives for hiring individuals aged 40 and above.
-
Incentives for hiring from vulnerable groups, such as the disabled or SOCSO’s Return to Work participants.
Employers may also access training subsidies, enabling employees to undergo approved reskilling or upskilling programmes, often in partnership with HRD Corp.
Hiring Incentive and Training Programme Application Process
The Hiring Incentive Programme (PenjanaKerjaya) is designed to encourage employers to hire more Malaysians while receiving direct financial support. The application process is structured in clear steps, ensuring both compliance and transparency:
1. Jobseeker Registration
All job seekers must first register and update their profile on MYFutureJobs at myfuturejobs.gov.my. Employers can only access incentive funding if their hired candidates are registered on the platform.
2. Employer Vacancy Posting
Employers with vacancies must register and advertise their jobs on MYFutureJobs (or approved job portals). This requirement applies from 15 June 2020 onwards and ensures that locals are given priority access to job opportunities.
3. Employer Registration for Incentives
Employers then register their company profile for the Hiring Incentive Programme via penjanakerjaya.perkeso.gov.my. Only employees hired and reported through the portal are eligible for incentives. Incentive payments begin for hires starting from 1 July 2020 onwards.
4. Select Incentive Category (hireMalaysia)
Employers must choose the relevant hiring incentive category:
-
#MYApprentice: for employers hiring job seekers as apprentices or trainees.
-
#hireMalaysia40: an incentive of RM800 per month for up to 6 months for employees aged 40 and above.
-
#hireMalaysia500: an incentive of RM1,000 per month for up to 6 months, plus training support for employees aged 40 and below.
-
#hireMalaysiaPWD/RTW: incentive of RM1,200 per month for up to 6 months for persons with disabilities and SOCSO’s Return to Work participants.
5. Mobility Assistance (if applicable)
Employees hired under this programme are eligible for mobility assistance of RM600 (Peninsular) or RM1,000 (Sabah & Sarawak). This allowance helps workers relocate for new jobs, supporting national employment mobility.
6. Training for Hired Employees
Employers may send newly hired employees to training programmes funded by HRDF (HRD Corp). These reskilling and upskilling opportunities ensure that employees are equipped with relevant skills for long-term employability.
7. Incentive Payment
Incentive payments to employers are made once SOCSO confirms the receipt of monthly contributions.
The first incentive is paid after SOCSO confirms the employee’s contribution for the first month of work.
Subsequent payments are released monthly, provided the employee remains actively employed and contributions continue.
