According to Human Resource Minister V. Sivakumar, changes to the Employment Act of 1955 regulating flexible working arrangements are among the issues that will shortly be put into effect.

According to him, the revisions are also incorporated into a number of other plans the ministry is developing. They are currently soliciting comments from all relevant agencies to better comprehend each agency's roles and responsibilities.

Meanwhile, the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) reaffirmed its demand that the minimum salary for civil officials is increased from RM1,200 to RM1,800.

Its president, Datuk Adnan Mat, stated that the idea was made three years ago, but because of the COVID-19 outbreak and the change of administration, it has yet to be thoroughly studied.
