PERKESO (SOCSO) updates its contribution schedule regularly to ensure workers get the protection they need.
As a business owner, staying updated is a must—but don’t worry, we’ll keep it simple.
In this blog, we’ll break down the latest changes, what they mean for you, and how to stay compliant without hassle. Let’s get started!
What is Jadual Caruman Perkeso 2025?
Jadual Caruman Perkeso 2025 is the latest SOCSO contribution schedule. It tells employers and employees how much they need to contribute for social security protection.
PERKESO (SOCSO) uses these contributions to cover workers in case of workplace injuries, illnesses, or disabilities that affect their ability to work.
Starting October 1, 2024, PERKESO has raised the salary ceiling from RM5,000 to RM6,000 per month.
This means contributions from October 2024 onwards will follow the updated rates.
No matter if your employees earn RM500 or RM7,000, the 2025 schedule provides clear guidelines on how much to contribute.
Why Jadual Caruman Perkeso 2025 Matters to Employers
Let’s keep it simple—why should you care about the SOCSO Contribution Schedule 2025? Because it protects your employees and your business.
If a worker gets injured or falls sick, SOCSO helps cover medical costs, provides financial support, and even helps them return to work.
That means less worry for them and less stress for you. Plus, it’s required by law for private sector employers.
But beyond just following the rules, contributing to SOCSO shows employees you care. And when employees feel secure, they’re more loyal and motivated.
What’s new in 2025? The salary cap is now RM6,000, which means better coverage for more employees.
It’s a small investment that ensures your workforce stays protected—and your business runs smoothly.
Who Needs to Follow Jadual Caruman Perkeso 2025?
If you're a private sector employer in Malaysia, this applies to you!
The Jadual Caruman Perkeso 2025 covers all workers under a contract—whether full-time, part-time, trainees, or even foreign workers.
Since July 2024, foreign workers under 60 must also contribute at the same rate as locals under the "First Category" scheme.
Who is NOT included?
-
Self-employed individuals
-
Domestic workers (e.g., maids)
-
Certain government contract workers
For everyone else, this is mandatory—no matter if they earn RM30 or RM6,000+ per month. As an employer, it's your responsibility to ensure contributions are made!
How Much Do You Pay for PERKSO/SOCSO in 2025?
The contribution rate for PERKSO/SOCSO depends on your workers' salaries and which scheme they fall under:
-
First Category – Covers work injuries and disability (both employer and employee contribute).
-
Second Category – Covers only work injuries (only the employer contributes). This applies to workers aged 60+ or special cases.
Starting October 2024, contributions are capped at RM6,000 salary. Even if an employee earns more, contributions are based on RM6,000 max.
Contribution Examples (First Category):
-
Salary RM100 → Employer pays RM1.50, Employee pays RM0.40 = RM1.90 total
-
Salary RM500 → Employer RM7.85, Employee RM2.25 = RM10.10 total
-
Salary RM2,000 → Employer RM34.15, Employee RM9.75 = RM43.90 total
-
Salary RM6,000+ → Employer RM104.15, Employee RM29.75 = RM133.90 total
Contribution Examples (Second Category – Employer Only):
-
Salary RM100 → Employer pays RM1.10
-
Salary RM6,000+ → Employer pays RM74.40
Small deductions, but they provide big protection!
