The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) is aiming for 5,000 participating companies from micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to join the MyReskill IoT programme.

MyReskill IoT programme

The MyReskill IoT programme is a five-and-a-half-day virtual workshop where participants learn about the Raspberry Pi and Arduino hardware. The programme's aims are:

  • To assist local companies in adopting Industry 4.0, and

  • To train the local industries on IoT knowledge and skillset for the non-coding workforce so they can remain relevant in the job market.

The MyReskill IoT programme also aims to demonstrate to MSMEs that they can easily incorporate digitalisation into their businesses.

As of now, the MyReskill IoT programme is targeting companies from four sectors:

  • Manufacturing,

  • Manufacturing-related services,

  • Agriculture, and

  • Services

This programme is the brainchild of Electrical and Electronics Productivity Nexus (EEPN), in collaboration with the Machinery and Equipment Productivity Nexus (MEPN) and the Digital Productivity Nexus (DPN) established under the Malaysia Productivity Blueprint (MPB).

MSMEs will need to possess highly skilled employees to harness the power of technology so they can significantly improve productivity. Additionally, a successful digital transformation heavily relies on an adaptable and flexible workforce.
