What Is LINDUNG 24 Jam (SKBBK)?

LINDUNG 24 Jam, officially known as Skim Kemalangan Bukan Bencana Kerja (SKBBK), is a PERKESO protection scheme that covers employees who are involved in accidents outside working hours.

The scheme came into effect on 1 June 2026 under the Akta Keselamatan Sosial Pekerja (Pindaan) 2026.

Unlike existing PERKESO protection that mainly covers work-related accidents, SKBBK provides additional protection for non-work accidents.

How to Opt Out of LINDUNG 24 Jam Online

Employees who decide not to participate can submit their declaration online through the official PERKESO website.

Visit the official PERKESO website to access the LINDUNG 24 Jam declaration portal.

Step 1: Register or Log In

If you already have a PERKESO account, log in using your existing credentials.

If you are a first-time user, register an account using:

• Full name

• NRIC number

• Email address

• Password

Step 2: Start a New Declaration

After logging in, select New Application and review the information displayed on the screen.

Step 3: Select "Tidak Menyertai"

Choose Tidak Menyertai as your participation option.

Tick the declaration checkbox and click Submit to continue.

Step 4: Confirm Your Selection

Click Confirm, I Do Not Wish to Join to finalise your decision.

Once completed, the system will display a successful submission message.

Step 5: Download Your Declaration

Download and save a copy of your declaration for future reference.

Want to Continue? You Still Need to Submit a Declaration

Many employees assume they only need to take action if they want to opt out. However, employees who wish to continue participating in LINDUNG 24 Jam must also submit a declaration through the PERKESO portal.

Simply select Menyertai instead of Tidak Menyertai when completing your declaration.

If you have more than one employer, choose the employer specified in the PERKESO declaration portal.
