Housewives play an important role in supporting their families, whether by managing the household full-time or balancing household responsibilities with work. However, many may not realise that domestic accidents or unexpected health conditions can also have a significant financial impact on their families.

To provide greater social security protection, PERKESO introduced LINDUNG Kasih, also known as the Housewives' Social Security Scheme (Skim Keselamatan Sosial Suri Rumah). The scheme provides protection against domestic injuries and invalidity while recognising the valuable contributions of housewives to their families and the nation.

In this guide, you'll learn what LINDUNG Kasih is, who is eligible, how much the contribution costs, how to register, the benefits available, and how to make a claim.

What Is LINDUNG Kasih?

LINDUNG Kasih, officially known as the Housewives' Social Security Scheme (Skim Keselamatan Sosial Suri Rumah), is a PERKESO scheme introduced on 1 December 2022 under the Housewives' Social Security Act 2022.

The scheme provides social security protection for housewives against domestic injuries and invalidity while managing their households. It recognises the invaluable contributions of housewives and aims to provide financial security and welfare support when unexpected incidents occur.

Why Is LINDUNG Kasih Important?

Housewives play an important role in supporting their families and contributing to society, yet many do not have social security protection against domestic injuries or invalidity.

LINDUNG Kasih recognises these contributions by providing financial protection and welfare support when unexpected incidents occur. By registering for the scheme, eligible housewives can enjoy greater peace of mind knowing they have access to social security benefits that help protect both themselves and their families.
