Hire NowWe waste precious minutes of our lunch break just queueing up, not just at restaurants but almost everywhere.
QueQ is an app that allows people to view the queue at a location around them, such as a mall. With this app, users no longer need to wait in queue physically but rather virtually. Users simply request a number from the app and wait for their turn via smartphone instead of standing in line.
The app is also used in hospitals in Thailand. Source: QueQ
You can book queue numbers two kilometres away from the destination, or at a distance of your preference. Smartphone notifications will alert users when they’re coming up in the queue.
This app is so popular in Thailand that it’s being used in every industry including F&B, banks, hospitals and events. It’s still new in Malaysia, and only available in certain F&B outlets such as Bar.B.Q Plaza, Kfry and Kyochon.
First incorporated in September 2015, QueQ’s founder Runsun Joh Promprasith came up with the idea after he was tasked by a restaurant in Bangkok to create a queueing solution. The solution was a success and word got out, as more requests from other restaurants prompted him to pivot the business.

QueQ will not help you line up for restaurant queues but it is looking to transform itself from a queueing app to become a lifestyle platform that will help people to save time for daily activities. In the future, QueQ will be looking to change from an app to an online-to-offline platform that offers any kind of service such as deliveries and cashless payments.
This app will be very useful not just in the F&B business but governmental agencies in Malaysia can apply this sort of technology to make the queueing systems better so no one has to spend minutes to hours waiting to attend their business.
QueQ will be looking to officially launch in Malaysia on March 2019.
