Putrajaya, 14 July 2025 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced a one-off cash aid of RM100 for all Malaysians aged 18 and above, including those who are not part of the existing Central Database Hub (PADU). This financial assistance is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to reduce the cost of living burden among citizens.

Who Will Receive the RM100 Cash Aid?

According to PM Anwar, the aid will be disbursed to over 20 million Malaysians across the country. This includes:

  • All individuals aged 18 and above
  • Those not registered in the PADU system
  • Citizens across all income brackets

The move is meant to ensure inclusivity and help reduce the financial strain currently faced by Malaysians, especially in light of rising living costs.

Whether you are B40, M40, T20, employed or not – as long as you are 18 years old and above, you will receive this RM100,

said PM Anwar during the launching of the MADANI Inclusive PADU Programme in Putrajaya.

When Will the RM100 Be Given Out?

The RM100 payment is scheduled to be distributed in August 2025, although an exact date has yet to be confirmed. Employers and HR professionals should take note, especially for employees who may raise questions or rely on this support for daily expenses.

Why Is This Important for Employers?

While the aid may seem small, it can go a long way in supporting your employees’ morale, especially those in lower-income groups or with dependents. Employers can consider informing staff proactively and guiding them on how to ensure their information is up to date in government databases.

This initiative is also seen as a part of the government’s larger economic strategy, which includes:

  • Strengthening the social safety net
  • Expanding the PADU system to make future aid more targeted
  • Increasing national economic resilience

No Need to Register for RM100 Aid

PM Anwar confirmed that there is no need for individuals to register to receive the RM100. The government will use existing databases, including PADU and other related records, to ensure automatic distribution.

What Employers Can Do

  • Inform your employees about the one-off RM100 aid.
  • Encourage verification of their MyKad or registered details to avoid delays.
  • Support financial wellness initiatives in the workplace, especially for lower-income employees.

This move comes as part of a wider commitment by the Unity Government to improve economic inclusivity. With over 20 million beneficiaries, including students, part-timers, and retirees, the RM100 aid serves as a reminder that every little bit counts in helping Malaysians cope with economic challenges.

Stay tuned for official payment dates and further instructions from the Ministry of Finance and LHDN.
