The Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) is supplying the Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test Kits (RTK) to employers to expedite the Recovery Phase Covid-19 Screening Programme on workers.

Human Resources Minister, Datuk Seri M Saravanan, said the employers must coordinate the screening process with clinics or hospitals of their choice.

The hospitals and clinics would assist the employers in conducting tests on their employees professionally. Meanwhile, the government and ministry will monitor the screening process through detailed reports.

The initiative is to lighten the employers' burden, who now only need to bear the screening test costs charged by hospitals and clinics.

More about the programme

The Recovery Phase Covid-19 Screening Programme makes it easier for employers to test their employees for Covid-19 following the reopening of the economic sector during Phases One and Two of the National Recovery Plan.

Through this programme, SOCSO will supply Antigen Rapid Test Kits (RTK) to employers. The employers will then coordinate the Covid-19 screening test with the clinic or hospital of their choice.

SOCSO will supply the test kits to employers based on the number of employees actively contributing to SOCSO.

The programme launched on September 6.

Eligibility requirements

This programme is open to all employers who actively contribute to SOCSO.

All employees, including foreign workers, are eligible based on reviewing employees' active contributions in the SOCSO ASSIST Portal.

Employees who have undergone screening under any of SOCSO's COVID-19 Screening Programme, such as the Prihatin Screening Programme (PSP) and the COVID-19 Foreign Workers Screening Programme (PSPA) before, are still eligible to receive test kits under this programme.

How to apply for test kits

Employers can apply for test kits through the PSP Portal at https://psp.perkeso.gov.my. Employers must first register for the programme.

SOCSO will determine the number of eligible employees based on the employees' active contributions on the SOCSO ASSIST Portal.

If the number of test kits applied is more than the number of eligible employees, the employer must update the number of employees and contributions on the SOCSO ASSIST Portal.

The employer must also ensure that the number of test kits applied is the same as that of contributing employees.

Employers can refer to the guidelines for the application and test kits supply at the PSP Portal.

Delivery of test kits

SOCSO will deliver the test kits within ten days from the employers' application date. Employers must plan for the screening test before ordering the test kits.

Coordinating screening tests with clinics and hospitals

The employer needs to coordinate the COVID-19 screening test with clinics and hospitals of the employer's choice.

The clinic or hospital will share the screening results through the SSP Portal at https://ssp.perkeso.gov.my

The employer will bear the costs for the services provided by the clinic or hospital.

Screening test location

The COVID-19 screening test for this programme can be performed at any clinic, hospital or workplace.

The employer can consult with the clinic or hospital to determine if they can conduct the screening at the workplace.

Screening test results

The clinic or hospital conducting the screening will publish the screening results to employers and employees.

Employers must make full use of the test kits

SOCSO will monitor the use of test kits among employers. Employers must make full use of the test kits received.

SOCSO will update any latest information related to this programme on the PSP Portal at https://psp.perkeso.gov.my. Employers can also contact SOCSO at 03-4264 5089 or 1-300-22-8000, or email to hsp@perkeso.gov.my.
