Hire NowBusiness Accelerator Programme (BAP 3.0) is an integrated assistance programme intended to enhance small and medium enterprises (SMEs) capabilities through business advisory services and financial support.
This programme sustains a wide range of capacity building initiatives to assist SMEs to develop and expand their businesses locally and internationally.
BAP 3.0 allows SMEs to be assisted through an integrated approach with guidance, including:

Empowering their core business,

Facilitating access to financing, and
-
Building capacity and capability.
Applicants will also receive business and technical advisory services, enhancing their business potential.
Matching Grant
The government provides financial assistance and advice to SMEs for improvement activities to increase the company's productivity and profitability.

You can only apply for this assistance online.

It is mandatory to obtain SME Status Certification. You can apply for the certification here.

When applying for this assistance, SME Corp recommends businesses to apply for SCORE.

SME Corp will open the application in September 2021. Acceptance of the applications depends on the funds' balance.

Eligibility requirements

Fulfil SME Definition

Undergo SME Status Certification
-
At Least 60% local equity
-
Annual sales turnover exceeds RM300k per year
-
At least six months in operations
-
Valid Business Premises Licenses from Local Authorities
-
At least six months in operations
-
Had undergone or willing to undergo for SCORE / MCORE assessment
Priority criteria
-
A business taxpayer
-
The ratio of local workers: foreigner workers at least 70:30
-
Cash at banks with at least 20% of project value
-
Projects with high value-added/ contribution to increased productivity.

A minimum paid-up capital of at least RM30,000.00.

Soft Loan: SME Bank
A collaborative financing program between SME Bank Group and SME Corp, this programme aims to provide financial assistance to SMEs. There are two purposes: Fixed asset and working capital.
This programme will provide SMEs financing facilities via SME Bank Group's existing products such as:

Commodity Murabahah Term Financing-i (CMTF-i) Facility;

Revolving Credit-i (RC-i) Facility;
-
Cash Line-i Facility (CL-i);
-
Ijarah Thummal Bai' (ITB) Financing Facility.
Financing limit
Minimum: RM50,000.
Maximum: Rm1,000,000.
Margin of financing
Working Capital: Up to 90%.
Fixed Asset: Up to 90%.
The profit rate is 4% per annum.
Financing tenure
For working capital: Up to 7 years, including a grace period of up to 12 months.
For fixed asset: Up to 10 years, including a grace period of up to 24 months.
Eligibility requirements

The company has been operating for at least six months.

SME is incorporated under the Companies Act.

The company is at least 60% owned by a Malaysian.
-
SME Corp's SCORE 2 or higher.
-
Valid business with business license from the local authority and valid business premise.

Large enterprise ownership (not over 20%).

Full-time business operator.
