STR 2026 provides direct cash assistance (Sumbangan Tunai) and monthly credits under Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) to eligible Malaysians. The initiative focuses on helping low- to middle-income households, including single adults, the elderly, and vulnerable groups.

Registering a New MySTR Account
All applicants must create a new MySTR account for 2026, even if they had one previously.
Step-by-step registration:

Visit the MySTR portal (https://bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my) and click “Log Masuk.”

Select “Daftar Pengguna Baharu”

Enter your MyKad number and a valid email address. Then click “Hantar Emel Pengesahan.” You’ll receive a verification link in your inbox. Click it to proceed.

Select five security questions from the list provided. Enter your answers in the answer fields “Jawapan.” Click “Teruskan” once done.

Enter your password and re-enter it in the Confirm Password field.

Click “Register Account (Daftar Akaun)”.

A confirmation page showing your selected security questions will appear.
Review them carefully, then click “Seterusnya.”

Enter your password in the “Kata Laluan” section and re-enter it in the “Kata Laluan (Pengesahan).” Click “Daftar Akaun.”

Once registration is successful, click “Log Masuk” to sign in using your MyKad number and the password you just created.
Logging In to MySTR

Visit the MySTR portal (https://bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my) and click “Log Masuk.”

Type your MyKad (National ID) number, then click “Semak.”
- A security code (captcha) will appear. Enter the code exactly as shown to verify you’re not a bot.

Insert your password, then click “Log Masuk.”
Once logged in, you’ll arrive at your MySTR dashboard. Here, you can:

View your application status (Semakan Permohonan)

Update your details (Kemaskini Permohonan)

Download or print application receipts

STR 2026 Application & Update Process
The application period starts on 13 October 2025 and remains open all year. Applicants who haven’t updated their details in three consecutive years must renew their application.
Apply Online (Recommended)

Visit the official STR 2026 Portal at: https://bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my

Click the “Permohonan Baharu” button.

Choose your preferred method:

With MyDigital ID: Click “Permohonan Baharu dengan MyDigital ID,” then scan the QR code and continue.

Without MyDigital ID: Click “Ya, Teruskan” to proceed with the regular application.

Fill in the “Maklumat Pemohon” section. Enter your MyKad number and click “Semak” for initial confirmation.

Complete all required fields in the application form, including:

Upload supporting documents, such as:

*If the Applicant is Married, upload a scanned marriage certificate or submit the original document and a copy to the nearest HASiL office within 7 days after submitting your application.
**If the Applicant is Divorced, upload a scanned divorce certificate or submit the original document and a copy to the nearest HASiL office within 7 days after submission.
***If the Applicant’s Spouse Has Passed Away, upload a death certificate or submit the original document and a copy to the nearest HASiL office within 7 days after submission.

Review all details, tick the consent box, and confirm that all information provided is accurate. Click “Hantar” to send your application.
Save or screenshot your application reference number after a successful submission. You’ll need this for future status check.
Apply Offline (Manual Submission)
For you who are unable to apply online, you can apply offline by following the steps below:

Download the Borang BK-01 form from the STR portal.

Fill in all required fields clearly and accurately.

Attach all supporting documents (same as online).

Submit your application to any LHDNM office, UTC branch, or mail it to:

Updating Existing Applications (Kemaskini)
Use the Borang BK-02 form or update through the portal if there are any changes in:

Updates can be made throughout the year online or at LHDNM branches.
