The holiday season is upon us and while it means the busiest time of the year for most companies (Christmas campaigns, sales, etc.), let us not forget to show gratitude towards employees for their hard work over the year. 

The newly elected prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has declared November 28 a public holiday in gratitude for the rakyat's support for him and his party in the recent general election.

Istana Negara announced in a statement that Anwar would be sworn in as Malaysia's tenth prime minister at 5 p.m. on Thursday (Nov 24).

And because the voting age for Malaysians was lowered from 21 to 18 on the same day that the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2019 was passed unanimously by MPs in the Dewan Rakyat in a historic show of unity on July 16, 2019, we have a large number of voters who have never participated in an election before.
